Even though she deducted the dish that we did not eat from the bill, she made me feel like a scam artist and I would never in a hundred years go to this establishment again.DIM SUM!! We are seeking a Host/Hostess and a Busser/Food Runner to join our team (experienced or/and inexperienced). She agreed to deduct the dish from the bill but not before asking for my name and making a snide remark that I would be surprised how many people try to get out of paying one dish out of more than 25. I told her that we had ordered more than 25 dishes and certainly would not try to get out of paying a single dish which would have amounted to a 3% of the total bill. The manager then came over and insisted that the dish was ordered and delivered to us. The waiter said he would and then consulted with another member of the wait staff and someone who appears to be the manager. A minor error that I thought would be rectified quickly by informing the waiter and he would just deducted it off the bill. The waiter brought us an extra dish of desert because of the misunderstanding, which was appreciated.Īfter dinner, we asked for the bill and realized that the beef rice crepe was also never brought out. Although we thought we had cancelled it, we told the waiter it was okay and we would keep the order. The waiter told us he would do so but for some reason, it was not cancelled but was brought out 10 minutes later.
Near the end of our meal, we told the waiter we were still missing two shrimp rice crepes and that he should cancel it since we were done with our meal and it hasn’t been brought out. Included were 2 orders of shrimp rice crepes and one beef rice crepes. I thought the plain rice crepe was under cooked, the congee was not cooked long enough and tasted more like watered down rice, the spring rolls were soggy and not crunchy on the outside, the fried turnip cake was cold and hard in the middle. Some of the dim sum was fairly good, others passable and some were just bad. taste so what taste good to me may taste bad to others. I do not normally write reviews and feel that everyone has their own requirements when it comes to. I made reservations 48 hours in advanced and went on a weekday for an early dinner to avoid the crowds. The atmosphere is good and the staff were alert. I was visiting Honolulu with my family and a friend recommended this Dim Sum place to us. Their dim sum is pricey, starting at 5 per steamer. The visit was a huge disappointment to say the least.
